19th May 2016 - Miton appoints ex-EdenTree manager to run UK Value Opportunities fund
Following the resignation in April of George Godber and Georgina Hamilton, managers of the Miton UK Value Opportunities fund, Miton Group has announced that Andrew Jackson, previously a manager at EdenTree Investment Management, will take on the UK Value Opportunities fund from 27th June 2016.
Commenting, Darius McDermott, managing director of Chelsea Financial Services, said: “Andrew looks like a good hire for Miton, given his track record, and it's great that they've been able to recruit an experienced manager so quickly. He loves what he does and has a good, classic, no frills stock-picking approach. Hopefully he will be afforded the same freedom he enjoyed at EdenTree and will be able to replicate what he once did there.”
As Chelsea's research team have not met the manager yet, the fund remains on a generic 'hold' rating.
