Manager of M&G Global Real Estate Securities fund resigns

8 August 2014 - M&G have announced that Gillian Tiltman, manager of the M&G Global Real Estate Securities fund, has resigned. Tiltman is leaving the company and moving to another fund management company, although where she is going is yet to be confirmed.

Richard O'Connor, a previous manager of the fund, has taken over with immediate effect, but M&G have stated that the future of the £132 million is being reviewed.

Gary Cotton, chief executive of equities, commented: “We would like to thank Gillian for her contribution over the past six years. We are sad to see her go but wish her the best in her new role. Gillian leaves the fund in the very safe hands of Richard while we review its prospects. During this period of review there will be no change to the Fund’s investment approach.”

Richard O’Connor joined M&G in July 2002 as a fund Mmanager. He is currently responsible for managing the M&G Fund of Investment Trust Shares, Light Green Fund and various index funds.
