M&G names Sam Ford as new manager of UK Select fund

7th November 2016 - M&G Investments has announced that, from 1st January 2017, Sam Ford will be the new manager of the M&G UK Select fund. 

Mike Felton, the current manager, is leaving M&G. Until the end of the year, the fund will be managed by the co-deputy managers Garfield Kiff and Rory Alexander.

Sam joined M&G in September 2014 as an analyst in the income team. He was appointed deputy fund manager of M&G Dividend, M&G Extra Income (soon to be renamed M&G UK Distribution) and M&G Pan European Dividend funds in February 2015.

Prior to joining M&G, Sam worked at Alliance Trust for eight years in a variety of investment roles for the UK, pan Asia and global equity teams.

Graham Mason, of M&G, said: “Since Sam joined in 2014, he has quickly made his mark as an astute investor and I am confident that he will do a good job for our customers in managing the UK Select fund.”
There is no change to the objective of the fund.
