20 April 2015 - Following their acquisition of Ignis in July 2014, and the integration of the business, Standard Life Investments has announced that the Ignis funds are to be renamed under the new brand. The changes will take place on 18th May 2015 and are detailed in the list below.
With the exception of the Ignis Managed Portfolio, the name changes will not impact the way the funds are managed. There will, however, be a small change to the investment objective and policy of the above mentioned fund. This will be accompanied by a change to the fund's investment and borrowing powers, with effect from 18th May 2015. The fund will be able to invest in funds within the wider Standard Life Investments Group fund range and the type of fund it can invest in will also widen. It will also be able to use derivatives for investment purposes, as well as for efficient portfolio management. There will be no change in the risk profile or the nature of the fund.
