4th August 2015 – Hermes Investment Management has soft closed it's Elite Rated Asia ex-Japan Equity fund.
Managed by Jonathan Pines, the fund has now reached $1.5bn in assets under management, having attracted more than half of this in the past year alone, and the fund group has decided to restrict the amount of new money coming into the fund as they feel it is near capacity. Any more assets, and the company believe it could compromise Jonathan's ability to execute his investment strategy without altering his preferred sizing of stock positions.
Existing shareholders will be able to continue making regular monthly savings, which have already been set up, but no new investors will be able to place money into the fund.
