Changes to Cautious Growth and Income EasyISAs

Whilst Henderson UK property is suspended, investors are unable to buy or sell holdings in the fund. So the Chelsea research team has temporarily replaced the Henderson UK Property fund in the Cautious and Income EasyISAs.

Cautious Easy ISA

The fund has been replaced by BlackRock UK Absolute Alpha in the Cautious EasyISA.This is a relatively conservative long/short equity fund, which remains relatively uncorrelated to the wider market. The team was strengthened by the arrival of Nigel Ridge in 2013. Since Nigel joined the fund mainly focuses on large and mid cap companies. They will never short small-cap companies, which can be illiquid and hard to sell at times.

Income EasyISA

The fund has been replaced by Aviva Investors Multi Strategy Target Income in the Income EasyISA. This fund is one of the very few absolute return funds that pays a decent income (approximately 4%). Another advantage is that it is paid monthly. We particularly like the fund's emphasis on risk reduction and preserving capital during market sell-offs.
