Aviva Investors Property Trust reopens… with a new lead manager

15th December 2016 - Dealing in the Aviva Investors Property Trust resumes today. The fund, along with a number of other commercial property funds, had its dealing suspended in July, when Brexit fears caused a large number of outflows from the sector.

This means that the majority of commercial property funds have now reopened to investors.

In a note to investors, Aviva Investors said: “We want to thank you for your patience throughout this process and apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused you.”

In the same note, Aviva Investors confirmed that, after 28 years at the company, Mike Luscombe, co-manager, will retire at the end of January. Following Mike’s decision to retire, Andrew Hook, the other co-manager, will take on sole responsibility for running the fund. Andrew has been with Aviva Investors since 2007 and has over 15 years’ industry experience.
